Graduating from Lapwai High School in 1937 and attending University of Idaho as did both her daughters.
Meeting USMC Lt. Robert Asa Abbott @ the U of I and married in 1940. Robert made the ultimate sacrifice @ Guadalcanal Oct. 14, 1942. Daughter Barbara Ann Abbott born of that union in 1942.
Meeting another Marine, Walter Richard Bartosh and married in 1945 for 67 years until his death in 2014. Second daughter Sharon Lee Bartosh born in 1947.
Helen loved the Lakers, playing bridge, bowling, growing roses, golf, sewing, traveling, babysitting her grandson, making fabulous lemon meringue pies, kept her tiny waist even @ 97 and encouraged and accomplished both daughters obtaining their college degrees.
Helen is survived by daughters, Bobbie (Frank) Bresee and Sharon (Jim) Kinney; grandson, Jonathan Bartosh Kinney and his wife Kaela; 8 nephews and nieces; and numerous second cousins.
Untold appreciation to caregiver Amanda for her devoted care to Helen.
