"Meno F. “Frank” Hicken, 79, of Fremont died Thursday, Jan. 26, 2017, at Nye Pointe in Fremont.

Meno was born Oct. 18, 1937, in Beatrice to John and Vila (Miller) Hicken. He grew up in Oxford and Malcolm in Nebraska. During his earlier working years, he was employed by the Wendelin Baking Co. in Lincoln. He also drove truck for General Steel of Lincoln. Then for 18 years he was owner-manager of a service station at Ceresco.

Meno was a member of Full Life Church.

On Jan. 15, 1960, Meno was married to Carol Gray. She has preceded him in death. Also preceding Meno were his parents John and Vila; grandson, Christopher Ratkovec; and two brothers.

Survivors include: two sons, Scott Hicken of David City and Frank (and wife, Cindy) Hicken of North Bend; grandchildren, Ashley (and husband, Tim) Lockhart of Fremont and Zachary Hicken of Fremont; and great-grandchildren, Desmond and Tarron Lockhart, and Jasmine Irving.

The memorial service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont. Visitation with the family will be one hour before the memorial service."
