Our loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Camille Stohl Pembroke, age 91, passed away peacefully on April 3, 1995 at St. Joseph's Villa.
She was born on March 19, 1904 in Brigham City, Utah to Vinnie Ralphs and Lorenzo Nelson Stohl. She married Adrian H. Pembroke, February 1930 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She graduated from Salt Lake High, University of Utah, in Liberal Arts, and was one of the first women to graduate from the University of Utah College of Law.In the community, she was a supporter of the arts, particularly loving the Symphony and Theater. She founded Young Audiences, Inc. in Utah, which introduced symphony musicians into the public schools. She loved to travel and supported her husband in his business and civic positions.
Survived by her son, Robert (Linda); grandchildren, Victoria P. (Casey) Jackson, Michael (Hilary), and Christine, Salt Lake City; and Richard (Elizabeth), Kansas City, Missouri; two great-grandchildren, Cory and Tyler Jackson. She was preceded in death by husband, Adrian; infant son, Michael; sisters, Delores Stohl Cannon, Hortense Stohl Livingston, Phyllis Stohl Anderson, and LaVinna Stohl; and brothers, Lorenzo Stohl and Ralph Stohl.
Memorial services Friday, April 7, 11 a.m., Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, where friends may call one hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the University of Utah College of Law or St. Joseph's Villa.
