Mr. Clayton "Bill" Carroll, age 82, of Olive Hill, Kentucky, passed away Thursday morning, January 26, 2017, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky.

He was born July 27, 1934, in Carter County, Kentucky, a son of the late Lon and Sarah Barker Carroll.

Bill was of the Christian faith and was owner and operator of Carroll's Service Center in Olive Hill, Kentucky. He was also a former employee of General Refractories for several years. Bill enjoyed horseback riding, hunting and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patty Ruth Carroll; four brothers, Wayne Carroll, Carl Carroll, Kenneth Carroll and Darrell Carroll; and three sisters, Hazel Mays, Avanell Brown and Erma Ruley.

Bill is survived by his three sons; Keith Carroll, David Carroll and Josh Carroll all of Olive Hill, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Jason Keith (Brandi) Carroll of Lexington, Kentucky, and Joseph Carroll and Chloe Alexis Carroll both of Olive Hill, Kentucky; and one great grandchild, Chloe Belle Carroll of Lexington, Kentucky. He also leaves many nieces, nephews and other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, January 30, 2017, at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North East in Greenup, Kentucky, with Brother David Gee officiating. Full military honors will be conducted by Ceredo-Kenova American Legion Post No. 93. Family and friends may meet at 10 a.m. Monday at Globe Funeral Chapel to follow in the procession.

Friends may visit from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, January 29, 2017, at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West Highway US 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky 41164.

Keith Carroll, Josh Carroll, David Carroll, Steve Carroll, Pat Carroll and Joe Carroll will serve as pallbearers. Jim Barker and Donnie Carroll will serve as honorary pallbearers.
