John Boyer, 89, of Aubrey, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at his home. He was born September 7, 1932 to Henry Boyer and Ruby Perry Boyer in Aubrey.

He is survived by his son Alan Boyer of Somerville, Tennessee, grandchildren Bu Homan, William Boyer (Heather), Veronica Neisler (Danny), Stephanie Menchaca (Ephraim), Cynthia Boyer, John Thomas Simmons, Joseph Simmons, and Jacob Simmons (Yesenia), eight great-grandchildren, his brother Henry Boyer, sisters Carrie Boyer Eddleman, Ann Boyer Stiles, and Doris Boyer Jones, and his favorite son-in-law Kenneth Joe Simmons (Robin). He was preceded in death by his wife Margie Boyer, sons Johnny Boyer and Sammy Boyer, and daughter Sherry Simmons.

He loved duck hunting and going to the Arkansas Razorback Games.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Aubrey Missionary Baptist Church, 201 Broadway Street, Aubrey, Arkansas 72311, The Shriners Hospital for Children, 2900 Rockey Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607, or St. Jude, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Funeral services Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 12:00 P.M. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in Marianna. Burial at Memorial Park in Memphis, Tennessee.
