Zona Faye Stauffacher was born July 28, 1934 in Saint Jo, Texas to William and Hazel Austin. She passed away January 23, 2017 in Mesquite, Texas. Zona will be remembered for her love of life, and her love of making others smile. She enjoyed playing Bingo, and having her favorite treat, a chocolate Frosty from Wendy's. Zona was preceded in death by her parents, William and Hazel Austin; and many dear friends who she considered family. She is survived by her son, Dr. Rick Stauffacher and fiancée Gwen Stamps; daughter, Sandra Foreman and husband David; daughter, Teresa Stauffacher; grandchildren, Zach and wife Margie, Kristi and husband Jared, Karlene, Constance, Kharesse, and Austin; six great-grandchildren; brother, Bill Austin and wife Kristi; and many extended family members. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 26, 2017 from 6:30 to 8:00pm; and Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 27, 2017 at 10:00am, all at Grove Hill Funeral Home. Interment will follow at 12:30pm at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton, TX.
