Zee was the ninth of 12 children born to Ara Vella and Roger Calhoun Banks. She died at her residence.
She attended school at Lincoln Consolidated in Gene Autry and graduated from Chickasha High School in 1943. She married Robert King Jr. in 1942. Three children were born to this union. In Michigan, in 1970, she married Leo Brown. There she enjoyed a life of traveling to many places including Atlantic City, the Bahamas, and Canada. Many years of employment included the John A. Brown Company and Newberry's in Michigan. Zee returned to Ardmore in 1993 following the death of her husband, Leo Brown. Her hobbies included sewing and crocheting afghans and arts and crafts for nursing home residents. She was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, John King; great-granddaughter, Krystal RaeDawn Loftis; stepdaughter, Brenda K. Brown; three sisters, Leola, Rosella and Clara; and five brothers, Eugene, Tilro, Otto, Wilbert and Earl Banks.
She is survived by two daughters, Marva Loftis, Ardmore, and JoAnn King, Dallas; stepdaughter, Gwen Willis, Oklahoma City; three sisters, Eva Lois Love, Lubbock, Texas, Christine Clark, Oklahoma City, and Faye Etta Walker, Indianapolis; 11 grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
