Virginia was born on Jan. 28, 1924 in Atwood, a daughter of Ervin and Mary Wells Anderson. She married Ralph F. Clark on Aug. 8, 1948 in Decatur and he passed away on March 27, 2015.
Surviving are two daughters, Cheryl (Bob) Frank and Debbie (Randy) Niles; seven grandchildren, Sheri (Josh) Campbell, Troy (Brandi) Shott, Wendi (Jared) Fritz, Kristi (Mat Cox) Niles, Justin (Jen) Niles, Brian (Carrissa) Clark and Julie (Jimmie) Burkeen, as well as 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son, Roger Clark.
During her life she enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers, sewing and knitting, going to the Bement pool and going with Ralph to Masonic events. She and Ralph were regulars at the Brown Bag in Monticello and spent many hours ballroom dancing together.
She enjoyed serving as the Bement United Methodist Church secretary for many years. Her favorite hobby was playing bridge with her Bridge Club.
She loved her family dearly and especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
