E. Jane Essary Rowe

E. Jane Essary Rowe age 71, of Birmingham, IA, passed away January 20, 2017 at Jefferson County Health Center.

The body has been cremated. A Celebration of Life service will be at a later date.

A memorial has been established. Cards and memorials can be mailed to: Roger Hendricks, PO Box 78, Birmingham, IA 52535.

Jane was born February 27, 1945 to Albert and Anna Marie (Fridley) Essary in Iowa City, IA.

Jane graduated from Cardinal High School. She was a correctional officer in Arizona. Some of Jane’s interest were to watch western shows on TV, collect frogs and drink Barq’s root beer.
She greatly loved her Pomeranian, Duke.

Jane is survived by 3 sons, Roger (Michele) Hendricks of Birmingham, IA, Victor (Susan) Sanders of Albia, IA, Albert “Pete” (Martha) Sanders of Oskaloosa, IA; many grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and 6 siblings, Rachel (Russell) Wehr of Yuma, AZ, Alberta (Charles) Cubbage and Peggy (Steve) Metcalf-Conte both of Douds, IA, Nancy (Bill) Cloke of Burlington, IA, Barbara (Charlie) Neill of Ottumwa, IA and Albert Essary of Malvern, AR.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Anna Essary; one son, George Hendricks; one sister, Donna Verploegh; and one brother-in-law, Charlie “Bear” Neill
