LISCOMB WOMAN DEAD
Mrs. Julia Speicher, Veteran’s Widow, Dies at Soldiers’ Home
Mrs. Julia E. Speicher, widow of John S. Speicher, a civil war veteran, and an old resident of Liscomb, died at the soldiers’ home hospital at 1:15 this morning of cancer. Mrs. Speicher entered the home from Liscomb Jan. 1, 1910. She was born in Wapello county March 27, 1851. Her husband served in Company K, Fifty-seventh Indiana infantry. Two sons and one daughter survive Mrs. Speicher. They are Jesse H. Speicher and Mrs. Edith Buchanan, Liscomb, and Perry A. Speicher, of Sac City. The body will be taken to Liscomb Sunday morning for burial.
