Leo John Sueppel, Jr. was born November 28, 1936 in Washington, Iowa the son of Leo J. and Lena Sueppel. He graduated from St. James Elementary and Washington High School. In 1955 he began working with his father at Sueppel's 66 Service Station, and took over ownership in 1960. In 1966 he was united in marriage to Joan L. Wood and he loved spending time with his dear wife. As a long standing business man in the community, the service station and his customers gave him great joy. In an article in the paper in 1990 he stated "It's my life, my livelihood and what I love to do. This has been a home place for many, many years."
Preceding Leo in death were his parents, brother Ed Sueppel, sister Vivian and his wife Joan on February 5, 2014.
He was blessed in his role as a loving uncle and a loving husband.
