GEISENHAVER, Richard W.
Born July 21, 1929, in Lansing; died October 28, 2001, at the age of 72. Mr. Geisenhaver was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, having served with the United States Army. He was a builder and a developer in the Lansing area in the 1960's and70's amd moved to Florida in 1977, where he owned and managed several Mobile Home Parks. Mr. Geisenhaver was a former member of Christ Lutheran Church, Lansing, and the King of Kings Lutheran Church, New Port Richie, FL. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn, in 1988, and 1 brother, Kenneth, in 1995. Surviving are 3 daughters, Karen (Charles) Gaskin of Brooksville, FL, Linda (Michael ) Thelen of Diamondale, and Patricia (Raymond) Hernandez of Belleville; 1 son, Dennis (Sue) Geisenhaver of Haslett; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Jack (Betty) Geisenhaver of Bath; 1 sister-in-law, Belva Geisenhaver of Oldsmar, FL.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 3, 2001 at 11 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, 122 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Lansing, with the Rev. Richard Mittwede and the Rev. Robert Grimwood, officiating. Interment will follow in Gunnisonville Cemetery, DeWitt. The family will receive friends at the Gorsline-Runciman Co. Lansing Chapel, 900 E. Michigan Avenue, Lansing, on Thursday from 7-9 and on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. In liue of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Hernando-Pasco Hospice Inc., 12107 Majestic Blvd., Hudson, FL, 34667, Christ Lutheran Church, or the American Cancer Society, 1755 Abbey Rd., East Lansing, MI. 48823, in memoruy of Mr. Geisenhaver.
