Annie was born June 4, 1921 in Bamburg County, South Carolina, daughter of the late Lee Edward Ayer and Pearlene Williams Ayer. She was a graduate of Olar High School class of 1939. Annie was a retired Civil Service Sales Clerk from Charleston Air Force Base. She was a member of Holmes Avenue Baptist Church for over 68 years, where she taught Sunday school for over 25 years and also an active member of North Charleston Senior Citizen Group.
Annie is survived by her two sons, William "Will" R. Crosby (Myrna) of Wadmalaw Island, SC, L.T. Crosby (Linda) of Folly Beach, SC, two granddaughters, Jai Quigley (Josh), Heather Crosby-Bedenbaugh (Wayne), and four great-grandchildren, Shirey, Emma, Lena, and Ellis Quigley. She was predeceased by her eight siblings.
