A. Louise Claybaugh, 92, Roaring Spring, died Saturday evening at The Village at Morrisons Cove.
She was born in Bakers Summit, daughter of the late George and Annie (Hoover) Sell.
She is survived by two children: Beth Ann Thomas and husband, Rich, and Tom D. Claybaugh and wife, Gail, all of Roaring Spring; three grandchildren: Andy Thomas, Samantha Claybaugh and Mike Claybaugh, all of Roaring Spring; three great-grandchildren: Conner and Maddie Thomas and Addison McGregor; two sisters: Dorothy Gochnour of Roaring Spring and Betty Smith of Woodbury; and a sister-in-law, Marilyn Sell of Skaneateles, N.Y.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Shannon Thomas; two sisters: Mary Guyer and A. Marguerite Smith; four brothers: Daniel, Wilbur, Russell and Herbert Sell; and her former husband, Dale T. Claybaugh.
Louise was a 1944 graduate of Roaring Spring High School. In 1987, she retired from Fonda Group, Williamsburg, with more than 20 years of service. She had previously been employed at A&P Grocery Store, Roaring Spring, and Sylvania, where she worked during WWII.
She was a member of First Church of the Brethren, Roaring Spring, where she had been active in the women's fellowship and had served as the church's representative to The Village at Morrisons Cove.
She enjoyed reading, puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren, especially her great-granddaughter, Addison. Louise volunteered at The Village at Morrisons Cove, Claysburg Food Bank, Roaring Spring Senior Center and Brethren Disaster Childcare.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today, Jan. 17, 2017, at First Church of the Brethren, Roaring Spring, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017, Pastor Dale Dowdy officiating.
Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg.
Arrangements are by Todd T. Thompson Funeral Home Inc., Roaring Spring.
