Mr. De Cosi, born in Norfolk, was a retired branch manager with Anheuser-Busch. He was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and a former member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. He was a lifetime member of Chesapeake Athletic Club in Norfolk, a former member of Sea Scape Golf Club and an active member of Duck Woods Golf and Country Club. Mr. De Cosi was a veteran, having served during World War II in the U.S. Army. He was the son of the late James V. and Angelina De Cosi and was preceded in death by a son, Vincent De Cosi, a brother, Al De Cosi and a sister, Louise De Cosi.
Mr. De Cosi is survived by his wife, Mildred "Millie" Allen De Cosi of the residence; a sister, Vincente Trovato Smith of Virginia Beach; two nephews, Joe Trovato and Paul Trovato, both of Virginia Beach.
A visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Twiford's Colony Chapel, Manteo. The body will be taken to H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road, Virginia Beach, for a visitation from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. A Mass of the Resurrection will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Gregory's Catholic Church, Virginia Beach. Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park, Virginia Beach.
