Sondra Rose Holtzer
(1946 - 2017)
Surrounded by her family, Sondra Holtzer quietly passed us by, heaven-bound, on January 15, 2017. Sondra was born April 1, 1946, the loved daughter of Norman and Julia Oestrich Holtzer, and was raised in Llano, Texas. She made her adult home in Burnet, Texas. Sondra was a daughter, sister, mother, aunt, friend and child of God. Sondra appreciated growing things and had a beautiful yard and flowers. She enjoyed all animals, especially dogs and cats. She was a pet sitter for many in and around Burnet. Her "pet friends" were always ready to see her and enjoy her treats. Sondra enjoyed her women's church group and their delightful lunches. Although she had various jobs through the years, working with her church as a servant to shut-ins was her most rewarding. In the last few years of her life, she was reconnected with a sister after 63 years. She was so proud of her sisters and we loved her to the moon and back. Sondra was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Julia Holtzer, her daughter Felicia Vasquez, and nephew Bobby Pairett. She is survived by her sisters: Nelda Bludau, and Gail Lang and husband David; nieces and nephews: Kristen Wennes and husband Jonothon, Ronda Dunn and husband Perry, Wanda Haltom and husband Eric, Sondra Huffman and husband Dan, Mike Wennes and wife Stephanie, Charles Pairett, John Wennes, Clay Wennes, Ty Wennes, many great nieces and nephews, and her brothers and sisters in Christ at Hill Country Fellowship. Graveside service will be held Thursday January 19, 2017 at Llano City Cemetery at 9:30 am A memorial service will be held Thursday January 19, 2017 at Hill Country Fellowship at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Burnet County Meals on Wheels, or Hill Country Fellowship, Burnet, Texas. Arrangements by Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home, Burnet, Texas.
