She was the daughter of William Francis and Marjorie (nee Mull) Dillon.
Mary Ann was a lifelong Joliet and Plainfield area resident. A graduate of St. Francis Academy, Class of 1960.
She worked several jobs around Joliet before retiring as a teller from First Midwest Bank. Mary Ann was a big people person that enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren the most.
Mary Ann is survived by her two sons; Craig (Margy) Cornelius and Jeffrey (Christine) Cornelius; four grandchildren, Dakota 'Cody' Lorenz, Jeffrey Jr, Justin and Macy Cornelius; and aunt of many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by her beloved husband of 51 years, Richard Cornelius, Jr..
Funeral Services for Mary Ann Cornelius will be held Friday, January 20, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Road, Joliet.
Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
