PASSED AWAY: Saturday, November 26, 2011.

BIRTH: December 14, 1919, in Trinidad, Colorado, to John and Anna Cesario. One of six children.

MARRIAGE: July 1, 1939, Mario Maio. They became proud parents to five children: Daniel, Carol, Robert, Richard and Ronald.

BUSINESS OWNERS: 1957 as owner-operators of Service Typographers, a graphic arts business in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Carolyn and Mario were married for 35 years before he died in 1973.

MARRIAGE: February 15, 1979, Wallace Asdel.

HOBBIES: Golfing, cooking and attending family gatherings.

AMONG SURVIVORS: Two sons Robert Maio and Ronald Maio, two daughters-in-law Janis Maio and Valerie Maio, six grandchildren Heather Olson, Marissa Rauchelau, Tyler Maio, Kristen Maio, Logan Maio, Mackenzie Maio and Connor Maio, and two great-grandchildren Gabriella and Genevieve.

PRECEDED IN DEATH by first husband Mario Maio, sons Richard and Daniel Maio, daughter Carol Knutson, and second husband Wallace Asdel.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: Noon Saturday, December 3rd, at the Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs. A reception will follow at a location announced at the service.
