Elizabeth "Betty" Pierret, age 94, passed away peacefully with family at her bedside on Monday, November 26, 2012. Betty was born November 25, 1918, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Raymond and Lena Kohne.
In 1940, she moved to Franklin County and was a longtime wheat farmer in the Snake River area.
She was an active member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, Eltopia, benefactor to Immaculate Heart Retreat House, Spokane, WA, Guatemala Mission, Catholic Charities, Blue Army of Our Lord of Fatima and an honorary member of Grange #969 for 60 years.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Marie Speeler and Dorothy Luft; and husbands, Frant Pierret, Jr. and Ernest German.
She is survived by her children, daughter, Sina Pierret of Pasco; son and daughter-in-law, Claude and Wynne Pierret of Pasco; grandchildren: Martin(Kim) Pierret of Pasco and Michelle Pierret of Aurora, CO; two great-grandchildren; brother, Raymond (Gayle) Kohne of Pasco; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held Wednesday, December 5, at 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, December 6, at 11:00 a.m. Both will be held at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Eltopia.
Hillcrest Bruce Lee Memorial Center, Pasco, is in charge of arrangements.
