Marie Anne Pellerin, Daughter of Etienne Pellerin & Jeanne Savoie. Wife of 1st, Abraham Burn. Mother of: Marie Madeleine, Marie Josephe, Charles, Marie Anne, Marguerite & Joseph Brun. Wife 2nd of, Laurent Doucet. Mother of: Michel Laurent, Marguerite, & Laurent Doucet.

A Family Torn Apart in 1755. Grandmother Marie Anne Pellerin's Doucet children were separated forever by the sad & heartbreaking plight of the Acadians. Her son Michel Laurent Doucet & wife, Marguerite Martin, ended up in Atakapas Territory, Louisiana in the first Acadian Wave, in 1765. Her daughter Marguerite Doucet & husband, Antoine Breau, ended up in Quebec, and youngest son Laurent Doucet & wife Ursule Martin, ended up in New London County, Connecticut, as did grandmother Marie Ann Pellerin Doucet. In Connecticut Laurent Doucet's Family was known under the surname of Dowsett/Dawsett/Dousett and various other spellings. Laurent & Ursule Martin Doucet, were the parents of 12 children, the oldest son Firmin was born in Canada, the births of the 11 other children were all recorded in Windham County, Connecticut, Town Birth Records, under Dowset. Marie Ann Pellerin Brun Doucet, was my 6th, 7th & 8th great grandmother. ~ Deadra Doucet Bourke
