Alamosa, and former Antonito resident Edulia M. Trujillo, 92, passed away December 24, 2016 at the San Luis Care Center, surrounded by her loving family.

Edulia was born February 28, 1924 in Los Pinos New Mexico. Edulia married Jose Adan Trujillo and was a dedicated, kind, caring and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Edulia enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, reading, cooking and especially the time she spent with her loving family and grandchildren.

Survivors include her two daughters Mary Lou Chacon of Alamosa, CO; Veronica (Kenneth) DeJoie of Aurora, CO; one son Joseph Angelo (Vicki) Trujillo of Kingman, AZ; seven grandchildren Luis Cesar (Steven) Trujillo, Marla Trujillo, Duan Trujillo all of All of Albuquerque, NM; Travis Chacon of Alamosa, CO; Adam (Desiree) Jiron of Denver, CO; Samuel (Chesnee) Trujillo of San Diego, CA; and Robert (Holland) Trujillo of Kingman, AZ; one daughter-in-law Margarita Trujillo of Albuquerque, NM; 11 Great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Edulia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jose Adan Trujillo and son Alberto A. Trujillo.

A Viewing and visitation will be held on Thursday Dec 29, 2016 from 1-7PM at Romero Funeral Home in Alamosa, CO. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 11AM, also at Romero Funeral Home in Alamosa, CO. Interment will follow at the Alamosa Cemetery in Alamosa, CO. Arrangements are in care of Romero Valley Funeral Home of Alamosa.
