Robert is survived by his wife of 70 years and 8 months, two sons, a daughter, six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, his sister, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents Avilla and Muriel Fortier and sisters Mary Lou and Patricia.
He was a WWII Army Air Corps Veteran, a former director in the Wapato, Washington School District, and a member of American Legion Post #1 for 70+ years; past Exalted Ruler, Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Ballard Lodge 827, and past District Deputy for Metro District, B.P.O.E.
A Visitation was held at Beck's Tribute Center on Tuesday evening, January 17, 2017. On Wednesday, January 18th, a Funeral Mass for Bob was celebrated at St. Luke Catholic Church in Shoreline Washington. Final words were spoken at his grave side. Burial was at Holyrood Catholic Cemetery in Shoreline.
