Opal Marshall Evans, 107 of Ft. Wright, Kentucky left these earthly bounds peacefully on January 8, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family.

Born October 28, 1909 in Muses Mills, Kentucky to Oscar L. Marshall and Alice L. Marshall (Dunaway), who preceded her in death. Husband Fehrman T. Evans also preceded her in death.

Opal lived life fully with spirit and a wanderlust for travel; visiting all but one continent. A modern woman, Opal worked along side her husband in their jewelry business, Evans Jewelers of Latonia, Kentucky. Opal was a charter member of Runyan Memorial Christain Church, Latonia Homemakers Club, Wally Byam Airstream Club and the Atria Knitting R' Purls Club.

Opal was celebrated during Covington Kentucky's bicentennial gala as Covington's oldest living resident. In 2016 she was recongized as one of Kentucky's three outstanding centenarian during the Sanders-Brown Center on Aging Foundation Gala.

A celebration of life will be held at Connley Brothers Funeral Home in Latonia, KY on Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 10am until the funeral service at 11am.
