Katherine Lucille Betcher, age 90, of Burr Oak, passed away Sunday, Sept. 11, 2016, at Dear Country AFC, where she has been a resident for the past 11 years.
She was born June 12, 1926, in Sturgis, a daughter of Albert and Eva (Wolgamon) Baze.
Katherine attended Coldwater schools. She married William "Bill" Betcher. He preceded her in death Oct. 22, 1967.
Katherine enjoyed knitting scarves and robes for veterans and the homeless and had worked at Walkers Laundry in Sturgis.
Surviving Katherine are her dear country friends and the Wolfinger family. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Albert Baze Jr. and Donald Baze; and a sister, Josephine JoAnn Baze.
Graveside services will take place at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, at Constantine Township Cemetery. Pastor Clint Zehr will officiate.
