Engine Goes Over Man's Body

Frank Berkhimer, 54 years of age - conductor on the Los Angeles & Salt Lake railroad - was instantly killed yesterday afternoon at Payson when he fell of the pilot of an engine and the locomotive passed over him.

Surviving Mr. Berkhimer are his widow, Mrs. Millie Berkhimer, and one son, Manly, 21 years of age. He is also survived by a brother and a sister residing in Iowa.

The victim of the accident had been a railroader more than forty years. Fifteen years of that time he had been employed by the Los Angeles and Salt Lake Railroad Company. Two years ago he was transferred to Provo, where he has since then resided.

Berkhimer was a native of Iowa, having been born in the city of Humboldt.

He was a member of Masonic Blue Lodge of Milford, a thirty-second degree Mason, being a member of the Salt Lake Consistory. He was also a member of the El Kajah temple of Salt Lake City. He was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge of Morton, Minnesota, and of the order of Railroad Conductors, division number 395, Salt Lake City.

The funeral will be held at the Masonic Temple, Salt Lake City, Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
