Johnny Boyd Chandler, 73, of Madisonville, KY passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Ridgewood Terrace Health and Rehabilitation Center in Madisonville.
He was born on July 27, 1943 in Madisonville to the late Bessie and Bill Chandler. Johnny was a self-employed roofer and loved everything about the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and hiking.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Karen Westby Chandler; and his sister, Joreita Egbert.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy Chandler; sons, Mike Chandler and wife, Debbie and Ronnie Chandler both of Madisonville; daughters, Lisa Daugherty and husband, Keith of South Fulton, TN and Stacy Hawkins of Hopkinsville, KY; brothers, Scotty Chandler and Larry Chandler both of Madisonville; sisters, Linda Westby of Madisonville and Alice Apple of Washington; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 13, 2017 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Reverend Mark Hobgood officiating. Burial to follow at Pleasant View Cemetery in Madisonville.
