Peggy Camille Baker was born to Bonnie Moore Holland and Cherry Holland. She was raised in the East Texas oilfield at Turnertown.
She graduated from Gaston High School and attended Tyler Jr. College and was part ofthe Apache Belles, then went on to graduate from the University of Texas in Austin. Peggy had a busy career as a secretary but her most important role was that of a Mother.
She married Hulon David Baker from Grapeland in 1959; they had three children, Cheryl , Mari Anne and David Layne Baker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and daughter Mari Anne Corker.
She is survived by her daughter Cheryl Pillans (Benny); son David L. Baker (Shannon); five grandchildren, Cherrilyn, Robby, Sinclair, Olivia and Keelin; six great grandchildren.
