Olar - William M. Ray, 66, died Sunday at an Orangeburg hospital. The funeral will be 4:30 p.m. Monday in Salem Methodist Cemetery, directed by Small Funeral Home.
Mr. Ray was born in Bamberg County, Feb. 14, 1905, a son of the late John William and Mary Hutto Ray. He was a retired farmer.
Surviving are: his widow, Mrs. Mildred Delk Ray of Olar; five daughters, Mrs. Jack Rowell of Savannah, Mrs. Marion Creech of Charleston, Mrs. William Hunter of Orangeburg, Mrs. Waymon Morris and Mrs. Joe Weeks of Hilda; four sons, John Ray of Williston, Shannon Ray of Govan, Pat Ray of Hilda, and Harry Ray of Olar; four sisters, Mrs. Wilbur Williams, Mrs. Estelle Kearse and Mrs. Marion Eaves of Denmark and Mrs. Charlie Williams of John's Island; and 15 grandchildren.
