Jean E. Atkinson (Jelly Bean), 87, formerly of Dallas, passed away Friday, Jan. 6, 2017, at River Run Nursing Center, Kingston.

Born in Sweet Valley, she was the daughter of the late George and Maude Nulton Wesley. Jean was the eldest of 11 siblings. She was a graduate of Dallas High School.

She worked and retired from General Cigar, Kingston.

Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband, Bruce W. Atkinson; and son, Wesley B. Atkinson.

Surviving are her children, Charles Atkinson, Pittston; Eleanor Atkinson Cool, Plymouth; Edward (Sam) Atkinson, Wapwallopen; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and siblings.
