Abel Shobe died Thursday morning in Macon county hospital after an illness of several months, having been a patient in the hospital for the last four weeks. The body was taken to the undertaking rooms of J. J.Moran & Sons.
He was born April 30, 1854 in Coles county. For many years he was a farmer in N.Dakota, coming to Decatur four years ago.
He leaves the following named children, Owen, Walter and Harry Shobe and Mrs.Mina Reed of Decatur and Elmo Shobe of Peoria, also his brothers, Marion of N.Dakota and Lewis Shobe of Cumberland county. He was a member of the Christian church.
