ROYSE CITY - Mrs. George W. Ellis, 90, a longtime resident of Royse City, died about 6 p.m. Monday in a Terrell hospital after a long illness.

Funeral services are pending at the Royse City Funeral Home.

ROYSE CITY - Mrs. Ada D. Ellis, 90, a longtime Royse City resident, died about 6:05 p.m. Monday in a Terrell hospital.

She was born July 17, 1877, in Alabama, the daughter of Luke and Mary Reynolds Howell. She came to Texas at the age of nine with her parents, who settled in Rockwall County. She lived the remainder of her life in and around Royse City.

On Dec. 10, 1890, she was married to George W. Ellis. She was a member of the Royse City Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today in the First Methodist Church of Royse City. The Rev. Homer Caldwell, pastor of the First Methodist Church of Leonard, will officiate. He will be assisted by the Rev. C.B. Garrett of Greenville.

Burial will be in Royse City Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Royse City Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be C.D. Richey, John Pullen, E.A. Howell, Jack Pullen, F.F. Crump, Roy Sisk, Truett Sledge and Tom Beene.
