He was very health conscientious and worked out his whole adult life and he loved personally training others. He had just acquired his seventh degree black belt in kempo karate. His other passions were horses (yes, he was a cowboy), music and singing. He was very successful in the health and life insurance industry. He was a general agent for Monarch Life Insurance Company in San Diego, California and later opened his own general agency in Seattle, Washington. His goal was to retire at the age of 40 and live “in the lifestyle in which I have grown accustomed to”, and he did. He wanted to write a book, and he did; “The Magic Power Of Making Money” by Phillip Arnold Alf. He was driven and he accomplished what he set out to do. Phillip is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survived by his wife Katherine: son, Steven (Tina): daughters, D. Renee Mikkelson and Darla M. Baty: nine grandchildren; Tyrone, Shawn, Justin, Kristin, Amber, Alisa, Katie, Alex and Jackson-and many great grandchildren who all love him and will miss him dearly.
Preceded in death by everyone else in his family except for his baby sister Sylvia Kirkpatrick.
