Mrs. Stephen Nappier, resident of Albany nearly forty years, passed away at Weslaco. She was 74, She had been ill for some time, having broken her hip three years ago.
The body was brought to Albany where Funeral services were held in Matthews Memorial Presbyterian Church and burial was in the Albany Cemetery beside the grave of her husband, Stephen Nappier, who passed away about 15 years ago.

Averal Rose Theriac was born December 28, 1892, in Vincennes, Indiana, where she was reared. She was married to Stephen Nappier December 25, 1915.

The family moved to Albany in 1926, where Mr.Nappier was employed in the oil fields. Mrs. Nappier remained here until 1963, when she went to San Beniito to be with her daughter, Mrs. Mardelle Lancaster, and family.

Mrs. Nappier was active in church work and in the American Legion Auxiliary.
