Mrs. Fingerson, 95, of Chatfield, a former farm homemaker, died Sunday morning (July 8, 2001) at Chosen Valley Care Center in Chatfield, where she had lived since 1998.
Corolla R. Sundet was born March 10, 1906, in rural Fountain, grew up in the area and graduated from Chatfield High School in 1925. On June 5, 1928, she married Malvin Fingerson in Lanesboro. They farmed in the Fountain area until moving to Chatfield in 1955. Her husband died in 1988. Mrs. Fingerson was active in the Fountain and Root Prairie churches, was an associate member of Chatfield Lutheran Church, and was a past Sunday school superintendent. She enjoyed needlework and crafts.
Survivors include two sons, Leroy (Ruth) of Arden Hills, Minn., and Conrad (Carmen) of Chatfield; a daughter, Lila (Donald) Eickhoff of Wykoff; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. A brother preceded her in death.
Riley Funeral Home in Chatfield was in charge of arrangements.
