Daughter of Edward Leroy Johnson, Sr. and Dorothy Jean (Williams) Johnson.
Wife of Robert Eugene Wilson, who died before her of Cancer in 2013.
Children: Tamara Michelle, Tracy Lynn, and Sara Ann Wilson. Etta and I were best friends = BFF.
Etta's father, Edward Leroy Johnson Sr., died when Etta was seven weeks of age in 1956, so I never knew him.
Born on October 8, 1956 in Corpus Christi, Neuces, Texas.
Etta Wilson passed away on Monday, January 2, 2017, surrounded by her loved ones, in Baytown, Harris, Texas.
She was a 1975 graduate of Galena Park High School. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially spoiling all of her grand-babies. She was known by the family for her extraordinary cooking. She was an extremely creative and crafty woman. She was always known for her caring heart and angelic smile. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Dorothy Johnson; husband, Robert Wilson and sister, Linda Ward.
She is survived by her daughters: Tamara Wilson, Tracy Wilson and Sara Wilson; granddaughters, Winnie, Peyton, Chloe, Emily, Ariel and Anabelle Wilson; brothers, Eddie Johnson and wife, Randa (Keefer); and Garry Ellis Johnson, Sr, and wife, Sally (Frederick).
"Dear Etta, me and Garry wish that you, your mom, and Linda could be here to see us so happy after 52 years apart. God is good, he just works in his own time. I lost my home and truck to Hurricane Harvey in August 2017, then I lived in a hotel for 3 months. In February 2018, I lost my husband of 12 years. I was depressed and devastated. Garry had been widowed for 4 years. God put Garry back into my life when I really needed him. I prayed, and prayed for God to help me, and I know without a doubt, that He gave me back my first love, whom is now my last love. We miss you all terribly but life goes on. Rest in peace until we meet again sister. We always wanted to be family and now we are.
