BERGMAN,JaneE. 81, of Walpole, passed away surrounded by the love of her family on April 9, 2010 at Caritas Norwood Hospital. Ms. Bergman was born September 20, 1928 to John and Selma Bergman. She graduated from high school and later achieved a dressmaker certification from the Henry O. Peabody School for Girls. She worked many years for the Singer Sewing Company. Jane was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church and was proud of her Swedish heritage. She enjoyed reading, sewing, quilting and being with her family. Jane was a resilient, kind, and generous woman, with a wry wit and wonderful sense of humor. Jane was the devoted mother of Linda S. Burke and her husband Kevin J. of Walpole. She was the cherished sister of Britta Stanton of Walpole, Richard Bergman of Wrentham, and the late Ronald, Bernard, Nancy and George Bergman. She was the treasured grandmother of Kristen and James Ricker of Foxboro, Amy Jane Brandolo of Milford, James and Jessica Burke of Milford, and Daniel Burke of Walpole. Jane's life was enriched by her great-grandchildren Brian, Gabriella, Anthony, Tristan and Mia. They brought joy to her life and a smile to her face. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a funeral service on Wednesday April 14 at 10:00am at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 24 Berwick, Norwood. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday April 13 from 4:00 - 8:00pm at the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole Street (Rt. 1A), NORWOOD. In keeping with Jane's love for and devotion to the children in her life, the family respectfully requests that donations be made in her memory to The Home for Little Wanderers, 271 Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02115 or at www.thehome.org in lieu of flowers.
