Kenneth Gordon
Kenneth Ronald Gordon, 69, died December 27, 2016 with his family by his side.
A memorial service will be held Friday, January 6, 2017 at 2:00 at Andersonville National Cemetery in Andersonville, Georgia. Mr. Gordon will be buried with full military honors.
A native of Dalton, Georgia, Mr. Gordon graduated from West Side High School in 1965 and immediately joined the United States Marine Corps. He served two tours in Vietnam and retired honorably as a Master Sergeant after 20 plus years of service. Mr. Gordon was a highly decorated Marine and received numerous medals and commendations.
After retiring from the Marine Corps, Mr. Gordon worked as a deputy sheriff at the Dougherty County Sheriff's Department in Albany, Georgia from 1988 and retired in 2008. During this time, he also worked at the Marine Corps Logistics Base in Albany, Georgia and retired for a third time in 2009.
During his free time, Mr. Gordon was an active member of the Masonic fraternity. In 1976, he became a servant of this fraternity and as a Mason was accepted as a member of the Knights of the York Cross of Honour and a member of the Knight Commander of the Court of Honour. He served as a commander of the Albany Legion of Honor in 1997 and again in 2000. With the Legion of Honor, he actively participated in Toys For Tots and in transporting children and their families to Shriner's hospitals.
Mr. Gordon is survived by his wife, Sharon Gordon; 4 daughters and their spouses: Cindy and Mike Cordero, Veronica and Jay Howell, Cyrena and David Raeder, their mother Harumi Gordon, as well as Casey and Justin Griffin; 1 son and his spouse, Chane and Jennifer Crumpton; 3 brothers and their spouses: Don and Joan Gordon, Eric Gordon, David and Becky Gordon; and 8 grandchildren: 1 great grand-daughter.
Mr. Gordon is preceded in death by his mother, Helen Dobson; father, Kenith Gordon.

Low Country Cremation and Burial is serving the Gordon family.
