Sharon Jane Shown, 65, passed away at home in Thomasville on October 24. She is predeceased by parents, Roy Lee Shown, Sr. and Sally Jane Toler Shown. She leaves behind sons, Jimmy Wayne Joiner and Joseph Linwood Irving; siblings, Beverly Lynn (Jesse), Roy Lee, Jr., Joyce Robin, and Robert Keith (Star); grandchildren, Kara, Ashlyn, and Easton.
She obtained an associate's degree from RTCC, bachelor's degree from Gardner-Webb University, and master's degree from in religion from Liberty University.
After retiring from an accounting career, she spent time with family and friends, sharing her passions for people, religion, and politics.
A celebration of her life will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, November 12 at Rock of Ages Baptist Church, 628 King St., Reidsville. The memorial service will be immediately followed by visitation and repast.
