The name of a surviving son, David R. Creswell of Mount Union, was unintentionally omitted yesterday from the obituary of A. Fed Creswell, 79, Taylor Apartments, Mount Union. The deceased, a former resident of Todd, died at 1:30 a.m. Friday, April 11, 1980 in the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 13, at 2 p.m. at the Robert I. McClain Funeral Home, Cassville, with the Rev. William B. Wollett officiating. Interment will be made in the Beavertown Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m.

A. Fred Creswell, 79, of the Taylor Apartments, Mount Union, formerly of Todd, died at
1:30 a.m. Friday, April 11, 1980 in the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, where he had been a
patient for the past six days.
Born December 5, 1900 in Beavertown, Snyder County, he was the son of David and Anne Creswell. He was united in marriage to Lavada O. Saylor on June 29, 1929 at Beavertown. She preceded him in death in 1972.
He is survived by the following children: J. Glenn Creswell and Robert Creswell, both of
Cassville; Mrs. Dorothy A. Querry of Newry; Carl J. Creswell of Three Spring; Roy E.
Creswell of McConnellstown; and Mrs. Larry (Jane) Ford of Hollidaysburg. Thirteen
grandchildren and one great-granddaughter also survive.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sara Mae, nine brothers and four sisters. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
He was a member of the Beavertown Church of God.
He was a charter member of the Trough Creek Valley Lions Club and was a member of both the National Education Association and the Pennsylvania State Education Association.
He had been an insurance agent for Nationwide Insurance Co. for 25 years and was a
teacher in the Todd Township schools, retiring from both positions in 1966. He had also
taught in the Tussey Mountain and Forbes Road school districts. He was former secretary of the Huntingdon County Jury Commissioners.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 13, at 2 p.m. at the Robert I. McClain
Funeral Home, Cassville, with the Rev. William B. Wollett officiating. Interment will be
