Luella Koehn, 87, passed away December 12, 2015 at the Newton Medical Center. She was born on August 16, 1928 in Fairview, OK the daughter of Jesse and Hulda Decker Schmidt. She was a homemaker and a member of Gospel Church of God in Christ, Mennonite. On October 27, 1947 she married Kenneth A. Koehn at Newton. He passed away on January 29, 2001. She is also preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Ellen Koehn, 2 brothers, Vernon and Kermit and a sister Margurite Toews. She is survived by her children, Kenny Jerome Koehn of Swan River, Manitoba, Canada, Ervin Dale Koehn of Scott City, KS, Danny Ray Koehn of Ft. Meyers, FL; 10 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; a sister, Betty Anderson of McPherson, and 2 brothers, Paul Schmidt of Tuttle, OK and Dennis Schmidt of Friend, NE. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday at the Gospel Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, Moundridge. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3 to 8 p.m., with the family present from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., at the church. Burial will be in the Lone Tree Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the Moundridge Manor in care of Moundridge Funeral Home, Moundridge.
