Charles L. Israel of Rt 2, Monticello died at 6:45 a.m. Saturday at his residence of an apparent heart attack.
Born in Michigan, April 3,1929, he was the son of Orvel and Lola Heffley Israel. He was married July 22, 1967, to Phyllis Burge.
He was an employee for 27 years of Delphi Body Works as a shipping and receiving supervisor, and was a member of the Eagles Lodge No. 2570.
Surviving with his wife are one son, Ron, Clearwater, Fla.; three step-sons, Donald Wells, Monticello; and Ricky and Ken Wells, both of Flora; his mother, Delphi; and three step-grandchildren.
Services were Monday afternoon at Lloyd Funeral Home, with the Rev. Donald Ashley officiating. Burial was in the Masonic Cemetery, Delphi.
