Born October 18, 1930 in Mulberry, Indiana to Clifford Myers and Audra Atwell-Myers. Emma Lou graduated from Mulberry High School in 1948.
She married Jack L. Foresman on June 18, 1950 in Mulberry until his death in 1993. She then married John E. Lowery in Lafayette in 1996 until his death in 2005. In May of 2008 Emma Lou married Lee Roy J. Williams and he survives.
She worked as chief operator at G.T.E. for 21 years. Upon retirement from GTE she obtained her nursing degree from the St. Elizabeth School of Nursing in 1994. Emma Lou worked with Dr. Haas, Hunter, and Smith until retiring again in 2004.
Emma Lou was a 60-year sorority member of Beta Sigma Phi. She was also order of Eastern Star for over 30 years. As a lifelong Chicago Cub fan she was able to witness her Cubs win a World Series in her lifetime and she also was an avid Purdue basketball fan. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, playing cards, Yahtzee, Bingo and knitting. She has passed her amazing cooking skills down to her entire family.
Emma Lou is survived by three daughters: Jacqueline L. Gunn (West Lafayette), Jill L. Frier, husband Gary R. (Ellenton, FL) and Jennifer Mahoney, husband Joe (Lafayette). She is also survived by seven grandchildren all of Lafayette: Adam Frier (wife Sarah), Clifton Frier (wife Kristy), Myra Millburg, Travis Gunn, Lindsey Mahoney, Eric Gunn and John Mahoney. Emma Lou is survived by five great-grandchildren: Ava Frier, Emmy Frier, Colin Frier, Keely Frier and Isabelle Millburg. She is preceded in death by sister, Joyce E Blosser; and son-in-law, Dennis R. Gunn.
Visitation will be Saturday November 12th from 10 AM-12 Noon, Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel followed by funeral service at 12 Noon. Officiating Pastor Hugh Rohrer. Entombment at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
