BACA, Damian C. (Danny) 68 - A lifelong resident of Santa Fe passed away on Thursday, April 26th
following a sudden illness.
Mr. Baca was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico on May 20, 1921 to Miguel and Catalina Baca.
Damian was a retired chef from several Santa Fe restaurants,the main one The Pantry, and was currently employed by the City of Santa Fe.
He was a Veteran of Foreign Wars and during WW II he served in the Battle in Rome-Arno and Northern Appenines Po Valley and received the European African Middle Eastern Service Medal.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Survivors include his former wife: Mary Garcia Baca; daughters: Bertha Romero and husband Gustavo of Espanola, NM and Anna Marie Trujillo and husband David of Santa Fe; sons:
Artie Baca and wife Virginia, Glenn Baca and Ronald Baca all of Santa Fe; sister: Theresa Segura and husband Pat of Santa Fe; sisters-in-law: Frances Baca and Mary Baca of Santa Fe; and 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Interment in the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
