CW "Bill" Baker, 86, left this earth on November 17, 2016 to go to his heavenly home to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ, and his wife of 48 years, Helen Hill Baker.
Born in Elevation Township, NC on November 12, 1930 to the late Clyde and Lizzie Baker. Graduated from Clayton High School, served in the US Navy in San Diego, CA and discharged in May, 1950. During his life Bill became a master carpenter of interior trim gladly using his carpentry skills for friends and family. Bill loved to read his Bible, re-reading many versions in his later years.
Survived by daughter, Charlotte Craver (Ray) of Raleigh; son Tracy Baker (Kathy) of Archers Lodge; two granddaughters, Mary Ashleigh Craver of Greenville, NC and Melissa Baker of Archers Lodge. Private service to be held at a later date. Arrangements by McLaurin Funeral Home, Clayton, NC.
