REEDY - Mrs. Nettie Reedy, wife of Noah Reedy, died at her home in Brownstown, Sunday, August 6, 1905, of stomach trouble and other complications. She was born October 10, 1860, and was a member of the Christian church at Columbus. She was a good and kind neighbor and was well spoken of by all her acquaintances. The funeral services were conducted at the family residence Monday morning at 9 o'clock, Rev. Jesse Nichols officiating, after which the remains were interred in Fairview cemetery. A husband, one son and several brothers and sisters survive her.
Obituary from the Brownstown, IN, Banner dated August 9, 1905.
Possible information on Hettie's father Jesse Tabor: From a family tree on Ancestry, he was born in 1794 in Montgomery County, IN, and died in Brownstown, IN in 1860. He was supposed to be the son of Bright Feather and Rebecca Snavely, who later married a William Tabor with whom she had two other sons. Back to Jesse Tabor; he married first Theresa Skinner who was born on May 9, 1796. They married on May 24, 1819 in Freetown, IN. They had 10 children, and she died in 1836. Jesse Tabor then married Nellie Allman, who was born in 1812, on August 7, 1836, and they also had 10 children. It seems possible that many of the Tabors from the southern Indiana area may be descended from Jesse Tabor - not sure where he's buried.
