Bobby Gene Brock, born to Paul and Tennie (Morris) Brock on September 22, 1937. Born in Spring Creek, but lived the majority of his life in Baylor County.

He was preceded in death by brothers George Harold, Curtis Lee, Cleve Donald, Kenneth Dale, Paul Leroy (Buddy), and a sister, Novella Jane. He is survived by one sister, Betty Jo Posey.

He married his wife of 58 years, Linda Colgan, on May 17th, 1958. He is survived by his son, Bobby Charles Brock and wife Melinda of New Braunfels, TX; and his daughter, Lisa Gaye Gray and husband Ron of Seymour. He is also survived by his seven grandsons, Brandon Brock, Laramie Reaves, Blake Brock, Charlie Reaves, Barrett Brock, Alex and Austin Brock; five great-grandchildren, Brier Pierce, Graham Reaves, Riggs Brock, Olivia Brock, and Laynie Reaves.

As a young man, he worked in the oilfield and farmed which he continued for the entirety of his life. To those that knew him, he was a role model and friend.

His influence helped to mold many people who were lucky enough to know him. He taught many how to farm, build oil rigs, ski, build hot rods, but most importantly, he taught young men how to become gentlemen.

He was on honest, strong, and hardworking Christian man. He faithfully attended the Downtown Men's Bible Class and the First Presbyterian Church in Seymour. He is leaving behind a legacy that will be remembered and celebrated for many decades to come.
Bobby passed away Friday, December 30, 2016 in Seymour, at the age of 79.

Services will be held Monday, January 2nd at 2pm at the First United Methodist Church of Seymour with Rev. Steve Sullwold and Benny Archer officiating.

Burial will be in Round Timber Cemetery under the direction of Archer Funeral Home, Seymour, Texas.

Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m., at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Round Timber Cemetery Association.
