Funeral services for Etha Belle Tate LeJeune will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at White Oaks Memorial Chapel with Reverend Ervin Goodman and Brother Bill Billings officiating.
Committal service will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery under the direction of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Etha, 87, of Oakdale, entered eternal rest on Saturday, December 24, 2016 in Oakdale. She was born September 23, 1929 in Verda to the union of Thomas Cantrell Mathews and Weaver Hale Mathews.
She graduated from Verda High School as salutatorian. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, aunt, and friend.
She is preceded in death by two sons, Ronald Dean Tate and Stephen Douglas Tate; her parents; two brothers, Archie and Albert Mathews; three sisters, Omera Beaton, Laura McMillan, and Eliza Mathews; one grandson, Brandon Ashworth; one great grandson, Thomas Frank Foster; and son-in-law, Gene Ashworth.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are: two sons, Mike Tate (Carolyn) of Oakdale and Terry Tate (Rene) of Minden; two daughters, Martha Foster (Stevan) of Elizabeth and Renee Ashworth of Oakdale; one sister, Catherine Boddie of Gibsland; seventeen grandchildren; thirty-two great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; very special friend, Doris Stanley of Oakdale; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Pallbearers to serve will be Stewart Tate, Nathan Tate, Deric Tate, Casey Tate, Ethan Ashworth, and Brian Foster. Honorary pallbearers to serve will be Breana Ashworth, Terrance Holmes, Morgan Bumgardener, and Michelle Snell.
