C Y Trice Sr died 8 Aug 1908 at the home of his son CY Trice Jr in Kansas City, aged 87 years. Mr Trice was born in Va. in 1821 and came to MO with his parents in 1854 and settled in Cameron. He was the father of 14 children and 12 are still living: CY trice Jr of KC, John L Trice, Mrs Mary Butterfield, Mrs Nathan Newby and George Trice, all of Cameron MO, Mrs Julia Joiner of KCKS, Mrs JF Sharp of California MO, Miss Hattie Trice of St Louis MO, Mrs William Townsend of Winfield KS, and Monroe Trice of Galesburg IL. Burial in the Packard cemetery.
