VICTORIA - Frances Catherine Ables Braun was born on Nov. 17, 1926 at home on a Kenedy farm to Leonard Caswell and Effie Ables. She was lovingly called 'Cat'. She was the second child of 12 children.
Catherine attended Union Leader School and graduated from Kenedy High School. She worked for the Simons and High Brehm Hats & Western Wear Stores, advertising and modeling their western wear and hats at rodeos and trail rides.
She was preceded in death by sons, Ray Lardy and Michael Lardy; brothers, Tommy Ables and Guy Ables; Sisters, Merle Brown and Anna Cook.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 30, 2016 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM in the Eckols Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Eckols Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Kenedy Cemetery.
