Robert "Bob" Wallace (Age 87) went home to be with the Lord on December 22, 2016 surrounded by his family at Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee, WA. Bob was the fifth of eight children born to Chauncey and Irene Wallace. He was born in Guyan Township, Ohio on August 29, 1929. Bob served as a corporal in the US Army from 1951-1953. He came to Wenatchee to join his Brother Ivan, working in grounds operations at Pangborn Field. In late 1953 he went to work as a furnace caster for Alcoa Aluminum. Bob continued to work at Alcoa for 35 years.

On April 9, 1956 Bob married Beverly Jungberg in Wenatchee, WA. Bob and Beverly remained lovingly married until her passing in 2007. In 1957 Bob embarked on a lifelong spiritual relationship with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Bob served the Lord faithfully at Bible Baptist – Lincoln Park Baptist church until becoming a charter member of the Bethel Baptist Church in 1981. Bob served as the first Deacon of the Bethel Baptist Church and continued in that service for 25 years. In 1960 Bob and Beverly purchased their first home where Bob continued to live throughout the remainder of his life. It was in this home that Bob & Beverly raised their four daughters. After retirement, Bob and Beverly enjoyed travelling. They went back to Bob's home town several times with his family to share with them his family's history.

Bob enjoyed many hobbies throughout his lifetime. Some of those included woodworking, singing and playing his guitar, spending time with his family, the Seattle Mariners, and his quiet times sitting in his swing in the backyard watching the airplanes fly by. Bob also enjoyed walking in the mall with his mall buddies. It was during one of these walks back in 2009 that Bob met a special lady named Jeannine Ellis. Jeannine would become a very precious person in Bob's life. Bob and Jeannine spent the last seven years enjoying each other's company, going to dinner at Denny's, travelling and taking care of each other.

Bob had many unique characteristics and expressions. Many was a time you could hear him say things like "Keep your powder dry" or "It's just up yonder" and his favorite expression, "Well I'll swann". Bob was noted for wearing his western wear suits and his Stetson cowboy hat or you could always see him in his baseball cap. Bob always had something humorous to say or to show you. Bob was always a man of integrity, genuine kindness, He was a hard worker and a man of deep faith in the Lord.

He is survived by four daughters; Patty (Jim) Galloway, Brenda (Bill) Bendel, Jan (Ray) Blum, and Darla (John) Sterk. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and his precious friend, Jeannine Ellis. Preceding Bob in death are his loving wife, Beverly, his grandson, Jonathan Sterk, as well as all of his sibilings.

One of the last thing Bob said to his family was "Keep the Faith".
Bob will be greatly missed.
